Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Expands Oncology, CKD, Infusion and Administrative Departments – Buys Former Delphi Site

Flint, Mich., Nov. 1 2006 – Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy today announced its plans to relocate and expand their Oncology, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and Infusion Departments. The company has acquired an 18,000 square foot building to make room for the expansion. The former Delphi Corporation building will also house Diplomat’s corporate headquarters and a patient treatment center.

“The building is equipped with fiber optics and the necessary technology that fits with our expansion plans.” Phil Hagerman, President and CEO, stated, “ Along with creating the room for our growing corporate structure, we can also expand our national call center for our oncology program and make room for an out patient center. This proactive approach strives to maintain Diplomat’s motto of ‘Keeping patients healthier… longer’ ”.

Ron Alexander, Vice President of Clinical Services stated, “The added space allows us to plan ahead and offer the best service to the growing Chronic Kidney Disease and Infusion patient populations.

The new site, located in Flint Township, will house up to six suites for outpatient treatments. Additional offices will field calls, from across the nation, from patients seeking cost saving methods to combat their illnesses. “Given the cost of new drugs for fighting certain cancers,” Hagerman said, “Diplomat seeks to lessen the sticker shock for patients by asking foundations to defray some of the expense.”

Embracing new medical treatments and services fosters growth at Diplomat. About a year ago the business had 60 employees, today’s payroll is around 100. The company expects to hire at least 50 more employees locally by the end of 2007.
