Swartz Creek, MI, February 24, 2010 – Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, the nation’s largest privately held specialty pharmacy company, announced its support today for Chronic Disease Fund’s efforts to garner a sizeable donation from CauseWorld. CauseWorld is a mobile phone application that facilitates charitable donations from large corporations like Kraft Foods and Citi via requests from users’ mobile phones.According to Peggy Foley, Marketing Director of the Texas-based Chronic Disease Fund, CDF is actively seeking individuals to vote.
“Chronic Disease Fund is one of 15 causes being considered for CauseWorld,” explains Ms. Foley. “It would mean a great deal to our organization if CDF supporters would take just a minute and VOTE for Chronic Disease Fund and then share the link – especially through Facebook and Twitter.”
Voting for the Chronic Disease Fund is quick and easy. Simply click this link and select the 5th selection in the panel on the right that says: Fight Disease with Chronic Disease Fund; then click the Add Them Now button.
Mark Neville, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, says obtaining money for life saving prescriptions is an integral part of Diplomat’s mission.
“In 2009, Diplomat’s dedicated funding department obtained an industry-leading $12 million in funding (known in the industry as co-pay assistance) for patients who were seeking assistance,” notes Mr. Neville. “Chronic Disease Fund has been invaluable in our efforts to raise monies to improve the health of our patients and others. We are pleased to help them in their efforts to receive the CauseWorld donation so they can further expand in this critical outreach area.”
About Chronic Disease Fund
Chronic Disease Fund is an independent 501©(3) non-profit charitable organization that helps underinsured patients with chronic disease, cancers or life-altering conditions obtain the expensive medications they need. CDF assists patients throughout the United States who meet income qualification guidelines and have private insurance or a Medicare Part D plan but cannot afford the co-payments for their specialty therapeutics.
