What is Diplomat's Advocacy Navigator?

Our Advocacy Navigator is one more way to provide the best possible resources and support to patients. Traditionally, a pharmacy served one purpose: to provide medications prescribed by a physician. At Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, we’ve expanded that role. Our team plays a more active part in helping patients achieve and maintain good health. The Advocacy Navigator is a patient friendly space where support groups and patients can go to find health related information and contacts.

Experience The Diplomat Difference

At Diplomat we will:

Provide Foundation coordination assistance for patients with high co-pay or experiencing an insurance coverage gap.
Verify insurance benefits
Investigate numerous foundations based on eligibility, drug, annual income, disease, etc.
Contact you to explain the funding process in more detail, and ask for any necessary additional information such as: household size, income, etc.
Upon approval, bill the insurance company and foundation appropriately
Ship your medication to you at no cost

Benefits For Patients

Full-Service Pharmacy - We can fill ALL your prescriptions in one place taking the burden off of you and giving you peace of mind knowing that our doctors of pharmacy understand all of your medications.

Co-Payment Assistance - Our dedicated Funding Department will work with co-payment foundations to secure funding assistance to help you with affording your prescriptions. In 2010, Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy obtained over $10 million in funding for patients needing assistance with high co-payments.

Support Services - Our pharmacists, nurses and oncology patient navigators will answer any questions about your medications.

Unique Medication Packaging - Diplomat will package your medication(s) into one convenient CarePak, simplifying the dosing regimen, when available.

Home Delivery - We will deliver your medication, overnight if necessary, to your home or physician's office at no additional charge.

Refill Reminder - We will automatically call to schedule your refill delivery; or we will contact your physician to obtain a new presciption.

Insurance Billing - Diplomat's extensive Billing Department team will support you and your prescription needs. If your insurance company tells us that you must use another specialty pharmacy, or that your co-pay will be less expensive through another pharmacy, we will transfer your prescription to that pharmacy and notify both you and your physician.
